We started with a vision to create a wealth management company that always puts our client's financial goals and objectives first. Founded in 2008, Golden State Advisors (GSA) is a California registered investment adviser firm.
Located in San Francisco Bay Area–a gateway to Asia and the home to many innovative companies in Silicon Valley, we specialize in helping private and institutional clients achieve their financial goals by growing, nurturing and preserving their wealth. We manage investments for corporate executives, business owners, engineers, retirees, non-profits, and corporations. Our main areas of focus are Equity strategy, fixed income strategy, and Asset allocation strategy.

Edward So, Founder and Managing Director
Edward began his prodigious career at Charles Schwab in 1995 helping service and manage the accounts of international investors before venturing off to Hong Kong in 1997 to help the company open their first office in Mainland China. Edward then transitioned to the world of Private Client Services as a Financial Advisor at Prudential Securities and Wells Fargo. Eventually, Edward found his calling to fulfill his vision of establishing an advisory firm that offers truly independent, personalized and unbiased investment advice and services.
His global experience has also been instrumental in helping GSA's clients spot and seize upon financial opportunities both domestically and internationally.
Edward holds an MBA from San Francisco State University along with B.S. degree in Finance. He is fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese.
